As the new year dawns, aspirations also soar, for accomplishing the past year’s dreams and excelling in our domains of activities. Innovations have become the hallmark of successful societies all over the world, either in facing adversities or rising to newer heights in professional areas. With several platforms available for new ventures over the years, Atmanirbhar Bharat, 2020, further brings a new vision comprising five pillars of Economy, Infrastructure, System, Vibrant Demography and Demand. Encompassing several dimensions of the economy, it provides for ideas, scale up and market reach.

In this context, the ‘One District-One Product’ paradigm also provides a focus on the local resources as well as entrepreneurship. Preparedness in terms of both foresight and skills to harness the potentials and succeed needs no emphasis. S & T tools are an essential ingredient and offer unprecedented opportunities with the new generation technologies of IoT, AI, Blockchain, sensors and robotics. Capacity building and mentoring assume importance for enabling the youth to take to new science-led and technology-based ventures.

The Academy is playing facilitatory and coordinating roles in partnerships with multi-stakeholders. With new facilities of Trainers’ Centre and the Content Generation Centre, the efforts would assume greater proportions. Let us join hands in this endeavor.

Greetings for the Year, 2021.
